Vietnam is facing a sharp rise in chronic kidney disease, driven by aging populations, diabetes, and hypertension. According to Vietnam's Ministry of Health, over 10 million people - or approximately 12.8% of the adult population - are affected by chronic kidney disease (CKD).
Among them, an estimated 108,000 patients require dialysis treatment, yet only around 36,000 currently receive it each year. Despite having over 350 dialysis centers and more than 5,500 machines nationwide, the country’s current infrastructure meets only about one-third of the actual demand, especially in rural and underserved areas. The growing gap highlights the urgent need for safe, standardized, and high-quality renal care solutions across Vietnam.
